Then remove fine dirt with a cotton swab and silicone remover (or, if unavailable, with white spirit). For heavily rusted areas, it is recommended to first treat them with a rust converter such as Tannox.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eApplying the color coat:\u003c\/strong\u003e Shake the paint pen vigorously for one minute before use so that the color particles are evenly distributed. After opening, dab the brush on the paint pen bottle or on a piece of plastic or glass, do not wipe. This is necessary to remove excess paint from the brush, which would otherwise result in a thick, uneven application. Carefully dab the paint onto the area to be repaired (do not wipe, as this will cause streaks). Make sure to apply the paint very thinly.\u003cbr\u003e\nIf the paint is only damaged in a very small area, e.g. from a stone chip, use the needle to apply only small amounts of paint. Do not press on the needle, but squeeze the bottle instead. If the scratch to be repaired is very deep, the process can be repeated two to three times. Make sure the underlying paint layer has dried. Before polishing, the treated areas must be completely dry, otherwise the friction from a polishing machine or hand polishing could damage the new paint. If everything has been done correctly, the repaired area should be practically invisible.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTemperature: \u003cspan\u003eThe ambient temperature while working should be between 13 and 25 degrees Celsius. Direct sunlight should be avoided, as this can cause the car paint to dry too quickly in some areas. If the paint is below 10 degrees Celsius before application, it can be carefully warmed with a hair dryer, as otherwise the paint applied with the pen will not bond properly with the old paint layer.
